Peyote Cactus (Lophophora williamsii)

Indigenous Indians regard peyote as sacred. Peyote is a very slow growing cactus which can outlive a human. Peyote flowers sporadically, all year 'round.

Peyote does not flower and reproduce until the plants reach a size of approximately 3cm. Whenever possible, we will send a flowering cactus or previously flowered cactus, allowing you to collect the seeds for further cultivation.

Peyote Cactus Seeds

Imported cactus seeds brought to you by popular demand. The Peyote cactus reporoduces by forming hairy pods (shown) which usually contain 8-12 individual black seeds (also shown). Cactus seeds are tiny: approximately 1mm long. For scale, a 10 pence coin is also shown. This coin has a diameter of 24mm (slightly less than one inch). (Coin not included.)

San Pedro Cactus (Trichocereus terschenkii)

San Pedro cactus is a relatively fast growing cactus. Again, regarded by the Indigenous people of our planet as a sacred plant. These can double in size every six months.

San Pedro cacti very, very rarely flower. However, the San Pedro and the Peyote can be grafted together to produce a hybrid which flowers more often and grows quickly. (Hybrids available soon from The Pukka Seed Company.)
